Monday, May 22, 2017: Radical Hope: Letters of Love & Dissent in Dangerous Times

Jewelle Gomez reads from her letter as editor Carolina de Robertis listens.

Thanks so much to all of you who gave last week during our show.  You rock!

This week on Women's Magazine we will hear from six of the contributors to the new anthology RADICAL HOPE: Letters of Love and Dissent in Dangerous Times.

At the book launch at Laurel Bookstore on May 3, editor Carolina de Robertis (The Invisible Mountain) was joined by contributors Jewelle Gomez (The Gilda Stories), Aya de Leon (Uptown Thief), Faith Adiele (The Nigerian-Nordic Girl's Guide to Lady Problems), Reyna Grande (The Distance Between Us) and Kate Schatz (Rad Women Worldwide) for an evening of inspiring and challenging words and heart-healing community.

Thanks to our friends from Making Contact for this audio. We are offering the book as a thank you gift for your donation of $80 or more to KPFA . If you missed the show on Monday you can still donate securely at KPFA.org and request a copy of Radical Hope. Thanks for your support.
