On this week's show, we'll listen to part of a herstory event organized by Old Lesbians Organizing for Change honoring lesbian she-roes of the past. Everyone knows about Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, but how many of us knew social welfare activist Jane Addams and playwright Lorraine Hansberry were members of the club? And many people may not even know the name Frances Perkins at all, even though we have her to thank for Medicare and Social Security.
