Voices of Our Nations: Writing in Colors

Voices of Our Nations, a week-long workshop at U.C. Berkeley, is the only multigenre workshop for writers of color in the country.  Why is there a need for a workshop just for writers of color? And what happens when women writers of color have a safe and accepting space tell their stories?

Tara Dorabji talks with founder Elmaz Abinader and faculty member Faith Adiele about writing, a writer's life, and making race and gender visible in our country's literature.

Voices of Our Nations faculty will give a free reading on Thursday, June 28 at 7:00 pm at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center Street.  Come early, as it will fill up!

Get MP3 or listen to the interview (22:33)
