UNITED IN ANGER: A HISTORY OF ACT UP, which shows at Frameline36 on June 19, chronicles the last successful
social movement in the United States from the perspective of those who
made it happen. ACT UP - the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, was born
in New York City in 1987 and quickly spread around the world. Producer,
activist and author Sarah Schulman explains how this small group of
people organized to save each other's lives and change the world. HIV
prevention activist Cyd Nova shares the perspective of a younger
generation of queers who have been waiting a lifetime for a movie like
