KPFA Women's Magazine is full spectrum, feminist radio. If you're interested in global or local politics, international issues, multiracial, gender queer, intersectional discussion from a feminist perspective you will find it on Women's Magazine. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, this inspiring hour of radio is produced solely by volunteers. Producers Kate Raphael, Lisa Dettmer and others bring a fresh perspective to public radio every week. Every third Monday Jovelyn Richards hosts a live call-in show, The Space Between Us that brings the voices of all women to the "river" to share their experiences on different topics each month. Jovelyn encourages Black women and white women to explore their personal and sometimes painful stories on the air. Weekly events both political and cultural are announced each week. New books, films, current debates -- it is all here every Monday at 1 PM on KPFA.
