Murder on the Mind

Mystery stories are an incredibly popular genre. What does it take to create a suspenseful novel or short story that readers can't put down?  Three authors with distinct voices and styles will discuss how to create strong characters, vivid settings and convincing plots.  Next week I'll be joining JoAnn Smith Ainsworth - who writes nail biting suspense wrapped in otherworldly experiences, and Margaret Lucke who writes exciting tales of love, ghosts and murder to discuss these questions and more at the San Francisco Main Library. The next show in the series, Black History Month Comedy with Diane Amos and Friends, will take place on Thursday, February 8, will feature Diane Amos, Donald Lacy, Tim Jackson, and Valerie Vernale.
