Monday, October 10, 2016: Rad Women Worldwide

Kate Schatz joins us to talk about Rad Women Worldwide, sequel to the bestselling Rad American Women. The new books profiles 40 women from 30 countries on all 7 continents (including Antarctica). Short one-page bios of well-known leaders like Malala and Wangari Maathai and lesser-known heroes like Chinese feminist Qiu Jin, Japanese mountain climber Junko Tabei, and Nazi resistor Sophie Scholl are beautifully illustrated with bold papercut drawings by Miriam Klein Stahl.
