Monday, April 11, 2016: Pioneering Oakland Journalist Brenda Payton

Aqueila Lewis talks with journalist Brenda Payton, who was a columnist for the Oakland Tribune for 26 years.  Payton also worked at the San Francisco Examiner and co-produced "Your Loan Is Denied,” a documentary about lending discrimination, that aired on PBS’ Frontline.  She currently works with Oakland Voices, a website that develops and mentors community journalists.
