July 11th: Women veterans use art to heal and Queer Women of Color Film festival Panelists speak about art and activism
Today on our show, we hear from women veterans about how art can help them manage and cope with the impact of deployment. An exhibition at Shout, sponsored by Swords to Ploughshares ended June 30th but can be seen online. Two of the artists featured in interview are Vicki Hudson and Nicole Gim.
Later we revisit Queer Women of Color Film Festival and hear different perspectives on combining art and activism.
