Next Kate Raphael speaks with publisher, author and podcaster Brooke Warner about how women are finding new ways to make ourselves heard. Brooke's new book is Write On, Sisters! Voice, Courage and Claiming Your Place at the Table.

Brooke talks about the publishing world via hybrid press, NaNoWriMo, self-subsidized publishing and how to survive the world of publishing as a woman and a woman of color. She is also producing a weekly podcast, Write-minded that just celebrated its one year anniversary.  She Writes Press and SparkPress Toward Equality in Publishing (STEP) hold an annual writing contest for women of color.
