Monday, June 13, 2016: Previewing the Black Queer Arts Festival

We preview the 2016 Black Queer Arts Festival with founder and producer Kinfolkz.  The festival starts off next Monday night, June 20th with the Oakland red carpet premiere of MAJOR, documenting the extraordinary life and work of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy.

Spectrum Queer Media, founded by Kin Folkz/Monica Anderson, is an internationally recognized, Oakland California USA based, social justice community engagement and media literacy/advocacy group that empowers LGBTQIA + Ally communities by acknowledging and celebrating authentic LGBTQIA + Ally voices, visions and viewpoints; and creating inclusive, collaborative projects that support sustainable LGBTQIA + Ally community stake holding.

Spectrum Queer Media's founding contributions include the Oakland LGBTQ Pride Creative Arts and Film Festival, Spectrum LGBTQIA Film Screenings and Curated Conversations, Sista2Sista - a wellness workshop series for Queer Women and Gender Non Conforming Folkz, The Rhythm Sistas Healing Drum Circle and The LGBTQIA Young Filmmakers Digital Storytelling Project.
